| I am drawn to the innate, quiet beauty of objects, and places. Many pieces explore how we relate to our space, our landscape. I often print the surface of the clay prior to construction, these marks help to shape and add depth to the three-dimensional form. Current work explores the idea of the 'natural object'. I contrive forms such as blocks and spheres and proceed to break these down, crush them, pull them apart until they bear no resemblance to the original. |
