Shaped by thoughts of wild, weather-ravaged coastscapes, the passage of time and weather on rock and land, geological layering and nebulae.
Slabs of coarse stoneware clays such as craft crank are constructed into large undulating, asymmetric panels or flat square or rectangular ’tiles’. The richness and depth to their finish is due to multi-layering: of recycled glazes embedded into the leather-hard clay reacting with matt, satin and volanic/crater glazes applied over, followed by multiple firings.
Some of the panels are single artworks, others are designed to be grouped together to make a strong visual impact in your home. Panels and tiles can be commissioned to fit your particular space. Please contact me to discuss your ideas.
